Spitalfields Crypt Trust

This year, we’re inviting families and children in East London and beyond to join us at home to raise awareness and vital funds for the homelessness crisis in London.

World Homeless Day is on 10 October, but you can choose how to take-part in SCT Big Sleep-in and still have an impact.

Pick a date that works for you in October and

  • Give up your bed for the night and sleep on the floor
  • Set up a tent and camp in your garden
  • Invite your friends over for a sleepover
  • Talk to your school to see if they can get involved

Why is THE BIG SLEEP OUT so important?

There were 13,231 people seen sleeping on the streets in London over the past year, and the majority of these were facing difficulties with drugs, alcohol, or mental health.

By taking part, you will help us draw attention to an issue that affects tens of thousands of people across London.

We are Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT), a charity in East London. We help people overcome homelessness and addiction and build a more fulfilling life.

SCT provides people with:

  • Safe places to stay and support to start recovering from homelessness and addiction,
  • Sessions in art, creative writing, literacy, digital skills, gardening and woodworking to help people discover new skills and build their confidence
  • Support to find a long-term home, when people are ready to move-on.

This year we need to raise £300,000 to keep our doors open and help even more people. Any money you raise will enable more people to find a life beyond homelessness and addiction.
