BBC News published a series of photos today featuring three members of the Choices recovery community supported by SCT.

The strking portraits picture Mark, Liisa and Abdulla in their professional roles as tree surgeon, research scientist and chauffeur under the title ‘Dealing with addiction’. We think they look fantastic.

Photographer David Stewart described his aim for the project as photographing people in a way “…that will hopefully challenge and change how people perceive an addict or someone in recovery.”

Comic Relief awarded SCT funding for a range of social activities shaped and run by people in recovery. These include film nights and Hackney’s first recovery café in our award-winning Shoreditch social enterprise coffee shop, Paper & Cup.

Comic Relief is on Friday March 13th.
