In September, our recovery community will be launching a new magazine titled ‘Normal’.

Published quarterly, the magazine will promote news, stories and events about keeping off drink and drugs in Shoreditch aka ‘party central’.

“With this magazine we want to entertain and inform people about addiction through stories that you won’t hear in the news. Many people assume that substance dependency is just a failing but it isn’t.

We want to demystify addiction as it really can happen to anyone. Lose a job, lose a partner and bang, it could be you.

Some of us have made big steps in getting off drink and drugs right here in the heart of Shoreditch. If it does happen to you, Normal will tell you what it’s like, where you can go and what is possible.” Nigel, Editor, Normal magazine.

You will be able to pick up copies of ‘Normal’ at our social enterprises: Paper & Cup and Restoration Station.

Choices also organises weekly socials for people in recovery including a film club, food and music nights.
