For the past few weeks Restoration Station trainees have been sanding, filling, painting and varnishing in preparation for a one-off creative collaboration with artist and maker, Yinka Ilori.
Under Yinka’s guidance – and with access to his striking pallette – the workshop team have created 9 unique chairs to display as part of the London Design Festival and Shoreditch Design Triangle events. Chairs will be sold in an online auction when the exhibition opens on Saturday and bidding closes at 6pm on Tuesday 26 September.
The collaboration was initiated by creative agency Zetteler who have produced this film about the project. Their brilliant staff and dedicated team of volunteers have been opening the shop on Sundays and spreading the word about Restoration Station on social media all year, culminating in this fantastic event.
Visit the exhibition in the workshop at 118 Shoreditch High Street between 9.30am-5pm, with late opening on Thursdays until 8pm.
