As we settle back into work after the Easter weekend, I’ve been reflecting on the meaning of this season. Easter speaks of renewal, restoration, and the power of community.
These themes speak directly to our work at SCT. Every day, we support people as they rebuild their lives after experiencing the harsh realities of homelessness and addiction. We witness stories of courage, of healing, and of new beginnings. Restoration and recovery is not a one-time event; it is a process, a daily commitment, and it is only made possible through a supportive community rooted in compassion. Easter invites us to remember why this work matters and to recommit ourselves to creating the kind of environment where lasting change is possible.
We hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend and that the reminder of Easter will continue into the coming weeks. In the way we show kindness, in the small acts that build connection, and in our shared belief that people can recover, grow, and build life beyond homelessness and addiction.
If you are looking for a way to get involved, why not consider hosting your own SCT Community Fundraising event in honour of our 60th birthday? Or if you’ve recently signed up for a marathon, why not fundraise for SCT?
Every action taken, no matter how big or small, helps us build a stronger, more compassionate community. We could not do this vital, life-changing work without your help.
Thank you for being an important part of this community.
Warm Regards,
Louisa Snow
