Today, we’ve published our latest Impact Report, covering 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
In our 60th anniversary year, more people than ever need our help to build a life beyond homelessness and addiction. The report is a reflection of the lives touched and the progress achieved as the people we support begin to find a lasting recovery.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, donors, funders and people who buy from our shops, and the team at SCT, whose passion and drive make lasting change possible.
- 83 people were housed and supported. People who would otherwise be homeless.
- 53 people were admitted to our residential recovery programme. People who have been caught in a cycle of homelessness and addiction, often for decades.
- 578 training and development sessions delivered. Sessions that provide an opportunity to join a supportive community, discover new skills and improve self-confidence.
- 70 volunteering opportunities. Opportunities that provide people in recovery with meaningful work experience and a way to give back as part of a supportive community.
No one chooses homelessness. No one chooses addiction. Behind every number in our Impact Report is a person whose life has been unravelled by trauma, poverty and lack of support.
In the words of one former resident:
“In 2020, I was out of control. Too many late nights. Too much bad living. Too much alcohol. I woke up every morning rattling with anxiety, feeling out of control and needing another drink to keep me from reeling.
“Today I’m living in my flat, going to AA and giving back to the community that helped me turn my life around. And for three years and one month, I have stayed away from the juice.”
I hope you feel proud of what we’ve accomplished together as you read through the report. We don’t receive any direct government funding and rely on the generosity of our community, and one of this would be possible without your support, your trust in SCT, and your commitment to creating lasting change.
