Spitalfields Crypt Trust

Celebrate our 60th birthday with us by holding your own fundraising event for SCT. Choose from one of our ideas below or host your own fundraiser. However you choose to fundraise, we’ll support you every step of the way to make sure your event is a success.

Join us as we mark sixty years of recovery in East London and help ensure we’re here for sixty more, enabling more people to find life beyond homelessness and addiction.

Coffee Morning or Afternoon Tea

Coffee mornings are a great way to catch up with friends and family for a good cause. To honour SCT’s beginnings in 1965, why not host a coffee morning with a 60s twist. Perhaps you’re a fan of a classic Victoria sponge or coffee and walnut cake, or maybe you want to impress your guests by making a baked Alaska or pineapple upside down cake.

Whatever you choose to bake, make sure you have plenty of tea and coffee to go with it, and ask guests to donate the price of a cake and hot drink to SCT.

Dinner Party

Get everyone around the table with a 60s inspired dinner party for SCT. Throw on your favourite miniskirt, pattern shirt, or Breakfast at Tiffany’s-inspired black dress and wow your guests with some culinary classics. We’re talking prawn cocktail, chicken kiev, devilled eggs.

Want to go the extra mile? Why not challenge yourself to hosting a dinner party on the budget of an average meal price in 1965 – that’s £1.44 in case you’re wondering! Ask your guests to donate the money they saved on a meal out to SCT instead.

Quiz

Can’t decide who the smartest person in your friend group is? Find out once and for all with our 60s themed quiz, with rounds on music, film, and general knowledge. Ask participants to pay an entry fee for the chance to show off their quizzing skills.
